Olivier Leflaive - Volnay 1er Cru Clos des Angles 2015
Overview
Terroir: As the name implies, the 1er Cru Clos de Angles is situated in the angle between Volnay Fremiets and Volnay Clos de la Barre mid-level on the slope below the village and just south of the border with Pommard. Leflaive sources from a 9 acre parcel.
Vinification: Grapes are hand harvested prior to fermentation and aging in a combination of new and used oak barrels and stainless steel.

A fine and elegant wine: nose crunching fresh fruits, a refined and velvety substance. Ideal with red meats cooked in sauce, game animals, eggs called "oeufs en meurette" and most cheeses.
