Terroir: Leflaive’s Pommard is sourced multiple parcels spread throughout the 1er Cru vineyards of the appellation. Soils are dry clay with an iron, limestone subsoil.
Vinification: Grapes are hand harvested prior to fermentation and aging in a combination of new and used oak barrels and stainless steel.
The fruity nose opens with blackberry, blackcurrant, cherry. The body is full and generous with a very beautiful tannic and persistent structure.
