Overview
Terroir: Located at the end of the North part of la Butte de Corton, the Pernand-Vergelesses A.O.C produces white wines on clayey limestone soils with crushed stones and the rock. We pick the grapes later than elsewhere. Cuvee vinified from terroirs of Frétille, Sous les Clous, Morand and Les Pins.Vinification: Harvesting is done 100% by hand. Once grapes arrive in the cellar, they are immediately and carefully sorted and pressed with a pneumatic press. The wine spends 12 months aging, 3 of which are spent in stainless steel. Once finished, the wine is transferred to 100% oak barrels (18% new oak).
Additional Details
Aromas of hawthorn and acacia which evolve with age to honey and spices. A harmonious and pleasant body on the palate. Technical Details- Appellation: Butte de Corton

"Here’s a perfect example of how the white wines from certain 'lesser' Burgundian appellations shine in the 2019 vintage. Medium-bodied and quite tightly wound, this is intensely chalky with excellent freshness, accentuated at the finish by just a touch of bitterness. Drink or hold."
