Meursault 2016

Olivier Leflaive

The village of Meursault is an important appellation for Maison Olivier Leflaive as it is the home of chief winemaker Franck Grux. The Maison typically produces up to 10 cuvées including Premiere Crus; Perrières, Charmes, Genevrières, Poruzots and Narvaux.

Terroir: Olivier Leflaive’s Meursault AC is sourced from many parcels within the appellation. Soils are rich in limestone, white marl and clay.

Vinification Parcels are vinified separately until the final blend is made after about 12 months in the cellar. The wines are aged in Allier oak with about 20% of it new. After blending the wine is fined and bottled. The Meursault AC is released after 12 months in bottle.

Additional Information
