Bourgogne Blanc “Oncle Vincent” 2017

Olivier Leflaive

This cuvée is created only from our best vines located in the territory of Puligny-Montrachet – 8 plots in total which represent a little less than 4 ha of vineyard in sustainable method. Soil is made up of calcarious clay and silty clay.

Vinification: Harvesting is done 100% by hand. Once grapes arrive in the cellar, they are immediately and carefully sorted and pressed with a pneumatic press. The wine spends 12 months aging, 3 of which are spent in stainless steel. Once finished, the wine is transferred to 100% oak barrels (15% new oak).

Additional Information

The aromas of this wine express the fruits with white pulpit (pear, peach…), with hints of butter. Beautiful in the mouth, with a creamy texture, and a distinct note of lemon zest. The selection of vines for this cuvée allows us to produce a white Burgundy more aristocratic, more tense and serious in intensity – more Puligny!

"For the simple appellation of white Burgundy, this wine is a serious proposition. Its source is partly Puligny-Montrachet and with the wood aging, ripe yellow-fruit and mango flavors and intense acidity, it could even age. Delicious now, the wine will be even better from 2020."
