Le Tense shows the elegant, feminine style of Chiavennasca (Nebbiolo). A bright, medium ruby color is followed by a nose of bright fruit, earth and exotic spice. The wine is medium bodied on the palate with layers of fruit, and a firm, dry finish.

Hints of sweet tobacco, mint, licorice and macerated cherries all develop in the glass. The aromatics are so striking, but the 2015 will clearly benefit from a bit more time in bottle, which it needs to come together." -
