Following the thousand year-old tradition of the vine in Sicily, Pellegrino has always put the land first and the family’s vineyards are a witness to this. Pellegrino owns over 200 ha in the best vine-growing areas of northwestern Sicily, including Gazzerotta, Kelbi, Ramisella, Rinazzo. Here, many kinds of soils, microclimates and grapes are the source of Pellegrino’s wines. Profits reinvested into these vineyards are used for re-planting of local and foreign clones. Pellegrino’s philosophy combines quality winemaking with a deep respect for the environment, which the Pellegrino family strongly believes is necessary to guarantee future generations the right to live on a rich and fertile land.
