Michel Torino’s Coleccion range of wines expresses a prominent, “fruit forward” style, with pure varietal character and vineyard typicity. The goal is to produce elegant and complex wines for their category.
Terroir: Each of the Coleccion range are sourced from entirely estate owned vineyards throughout the Cafayate Valley. Vineyards sit at elevations well above 3,000 feet with many sitting above 5,000 feet. The power of the sun at these elevations combined with very little moisture or pests leads to wines of unique purity and concentration.
Vinification: Each wine in the Coleccion range presents the true character of the varietal. The wines are produced in a young, juicy style with minimal oak influence and just 5 months of aging in the cellar prior to bottling and release.
Additional Information
The Coleccion Cabernet Sauvignon has blackberry, pepper and paprika aromas, with nut and toasty oak notes. In the mouth, there are red pepper, raspberry and blackcurrant flavors, with vanilla and tobacco notes from oak aging on the long finish.
