Terroir: Valdobbiadene Prosecco is renowned for its great finesse and its rich bouquet of fruit and floral aromas. Rive wines refer to specific hills within the prestigious Valdobbiadene zone. The Rive di Colbertaldo sits at 1,150 ft above sea level just southeast of the town of Valdobbiadene. This rive enjoys greater fluctuations in day and night temperatures than other parts of the appellation, creating a unique microclimate that is expressed in the final wine.
Vinification: Grapes from this steep vineyard are hand-harvested to ensure only the best grapes from the subzone go into this wine. The grapes are gently pressed to maintain their natural characteristics. Cold maceration of the must in contact with skins to obtain aromatic features from the skins. Temperature-controlled fermentation using the charmat method. This wine undergoes the long charmat method and is not released until the March after the harvest, giving the final wine a finer perlage, greater structure, and a more pronounced bouquet.
Light gold in color with a creamy mousse. Exquisite floral aromas. On the palate, the wine is crisp and fresh with rich flavors of pineapple and melon. Excellent as an aperitif, it is ideal with seafood, pastas, and at the end of a meal with fresh fruit.
