Terroir: The grapes used in making this wine come from the finest vineyards situated on the hills of the Roero zone to the west of Alba. The vines are grown with Guyot (VSP trellised) system on hills with steep inclines and terrains consisting primarily of calcareous sand.
Vinification: The grapes, collected by hand, are destemmed and delicately crushed to only the noblest and most aromatic parts of the skin. The must is fermented in thermo- conditioned steel tanks at 68 °F. Then the wine is stored in steel tanks to preserve its typical, fresh fragrance. Sitting in contact with the lees for a long period of time makes this wine long- lived. Roero Arneis wine shows its finest characteristics in its first years.
Tenuous straw-yellow color, at times with a pale old-gold tone. Fruity odor with clean scents of green hazelnuts and wild chamomile. Fresh, sapid flavor with sensations similar to those offered by the odor. A classic fish and seafood wine that also accompanies appetizers in general. Because of its big structure, it also complements introductory dishes.
