Terret is a Mediterranean varietal which finds its best expression in vineyards with close proximity or relationship to the sea. It was introduced to southern France by the Greeks and is one of France’s oldest known varietals. From the 17 served as raw material for distillation. Its intrinsic qualities began to be appreciated concurrent with the introduction of modern methods of vinification and temperature control which revealed a variety rich in aromatic potential. Marc Roman Terret is vinified at low temperatures to preserve the naturally fruity characteristics of this variety. It is a dry white with hints of lemon and resin which make it especially delicious with all Mediterranean seafood such as tuna, shrimp, mackerel and red snapper.
Nice and simple, this wine is fresh and juicy, fairly dry with a smooth and rounded fruit flavors and attractive floral aromas. Well balanced between fruit and acidity, this approachable wine is a perfect pick for friends and family. Serve as an aperitif or with seafood entre.
