Overview
Terroir: Cultivated with south-west exposure in loose soil with sandy-clayey texture that is not deep and has a limestone subsoil.
Vinification: Stainless steel fermentation with 28 days of skin contact. Aged 12 months in barriques and 3,000 L casks followed by 10 months of bottle refinement. Certified organic from 2014 vintage. Limited production of 25,000 bottles.

Bouquet: complex and with good intensity and hints of sweet spices and cinnamon; an elegant progression of slightly woody notes that are well balanced with a persistence of fresh red fruit.Flavor: with good structure and elegant, acidic freshness; pleasant tannins; long finish with a lovely, slightly toasted note and a hint of sweet spices.

"The 2014 Montefalco Rosso shows a dark color with veins of garnet and crimson. The bouquet is a bit flat and less expressive, yet the wine is well-made and steady nonetheless. On the close, you get earthy spice and dried cherry."
