Additional Information

Ample and complex, it immediately expresses a range of red fruit (black cherry, bilberry) with elegant notes of cocoa and sweet spices. The aromas are very long and harmonious. On the palate, the wine has a powerful structure with good concentration and freshness of fruit. Fragrant acidity and dense, mature tannins develop, as the wine ends with a long-lasting finish.

"An ashy smoke note leads the way in this full-bodied, aromatic red, with chewy tannins forming a dense frame to which flavors of black cherry coulis, licorice, cured tobacco and ground pepper are tightly knit. Grippy finish. Best after 2023. 100 cases imported."

"Resin, black-skinned berries, exotic spices and baked plum aromas slowly take shape on this along with whiffs of French oak. Densely concentrated, the firm, muscular palate offers blackberry jam, prune, vanilla and coconut set against assertive, close-grained tannins that clench the finish. Drink after 2025." "A plush Umbrian red that shows dried violets, wet earth, blackberry tart and lots of cherry compote. Full-bodied and very dense, but with enough firmness to the tannins to carry this through. Drink in 2021."
