Luigi Bosca - Sauvignon Blanc 2019

Overview

As a tribute to the land and to those who work it, Luigi Bosca have worked more than 110 years to understand the intention of the vine. The passion of four generations of the same family, shown in Bodega Luigi Bosca’s collection, reflects the result of an ambitious effort started many years ago: the wish to express the thorough version of the essence of Argentine wine.

Terroir: Sourced from Bosca's El Paraiso vineyard in Lujan de Cuyo- Maipo. Vines average 30 years and sit at an elevation of 780 meters. Soils here are well drained and shallow based with a mix of limestone and silt.

Vinification: Grapes are hand harvested and meticulously sorted and destemmed upon arrival at the winery. Grapes are pressed for 4-6 hours followed by a cool maceration for 24 hours. The juice is fermented at cool temperatures in stainless steel vats followed by 6 months of aging on its lees.

"A Sauvignon Blanc from old vines in Finca El Paraíso, Maipú, this is a translucent yellow in the glass with a nose of citrus, herb, grass and lime. Fairly fresh in the mouth with a citrusy backdrop; the CO2 livens it up a little. Drink now through  2021."

"The 2019 Sauvignon Blanc Luigi Bosca, is a 100% Sauvignon Blanc from the Mendoza river bed in Maipú. Light yellow in color, the aromas are lime and lemon-grass. The palate is gentle but taut with mild flavors. A good, easygoing wine for the summer."
