Continuous innovation and an unwavering work spirit have allowed Luigi Bosca to achieve a solid position in worldwide markets. Over the last 15 years, they have strongly consolidated their leading position offering products with a personality and a style of their own that reflect the essence of Mendoza’s terroir, and their regional style, people and culture.
Terroir: Sourced from Luigi Bosca’s Los Nobles vineyard in Lujan de Cuyo. Vines are on average 90 years old and sit an elevations up to 1050 meters. Soils vary from limestone rubble and silt, to calcareous to sandy-loam.
Vinification: Grapes are handpicked, sorted and destemmed followed by cool fermentation in stainless steel vats. After primary fermentation is complete, the young wine is transferred to new French oak casks where where it will undergo malolactic fermentation and age for a period of 18 months. The wine is bottled unfiltered.
Grapes achieve great complexity, structure and personality through the limestone soil, while the exuberance of aromas is provided by the granite rock. Deep red color with violet hints. Vigorous and robust, well- structured, full-bodied and balanced. Oily, with marked aromas of black fruit, ripe plum, cassis, blackberry, and a refined violet bouquet. Velvety finish in the mouth. Pair with spiced game meat, roasted lamb, pasta with intense sauces.
