OverviewContinuous innovation and an unwavering work spirit have allowed Luigi Bosca to achieve a solid position in worldwide markets. Over the last 15 years, they have strongly consolidated their leading position offering products with a personality and a style of their own that reflect the essence of Mendoza’s terroir, and their regional style, people and culture.
Terroir: Gala 1 is selected from the finest parcels within the estate vineyards of La Linda, La Espana, Los Nobles and Las Compuertas. Vines are on average 50 years old and sit at elevations up to 960 meters. Soils vary from limestone rubble and silt, to calcareous to sandy-loam.
Vinification: Grapes are handpicked, sorted and destemmed followed by cool fermentation in stainless steel vats. The wines are blended and aged in 100% new French oak cask for 14 months.
Additional Details editLuigi Bosca Gala 1 is an innovating wine inside and out. Intense and bright violet red, with subtle and balanced aromas, red fruit and fresh spicy notes. It is agile and expressive, voluptuous, strong in the mouth, what adds great potential. Fresh and modern in the palate, vibrant, juicy, with very good fruit concentration. The well-integrated wood can be perceived in its persistent finish. It is a pioneering Malbec-blend, which still has a long life to run.

"A full-bodied red with generous ripeness and depth. Plush, yet focused with polished tannins and a round mouth feel. Full of ripe black fruit, as well as some tar and asphalt. Delicious blend of malbec, petit verdot and tannat. Drink or hold."
