These wines are the result of finding the best terroirs with extraordinary components.
The new De Sangre collection is a range of super-premium wines, each crafted from single vineyards. These wines are from the best soils of selected parcels in Mendoza, chosen for their specific attributes and desired wine profile. De Sangre, meaning “Of Blood”, is the name the winery has given to those outstanding blends as a tribute to sharing special wines only with family and special friends
Terroir: Made from grapes grown in vineyards located in Gualtallary and Tupungato, Valle de Uco.
Vinification: Grapes are manually harvested in 18 to 20-kilogram boxes, followed by bunch selection and whole-bunch pressing at a pressure lower than 1 bar. The grape juice obtained is later decanted at 8°C for 24 hours. Only a fraction of it undergoes fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 16°C, whereas another part of it is fermented in French oak barrels. Partial malolactic fermentation; throughout the aging process, fine lees are kept in suspension to achieve greater unctuosity. After nine months of aging, the blend is made, smoothly filtered and bottled. Finally, it is stowed in the wine cellar for at least four months before its launch into the market.
Luigi Bosca De Sangre White Blend is a yellowish-white blend with golden and greenish reflections. It is expressive and purely fruity in the nose. Floral and white fruit notes stand out, which are reminiscent of peach, green apple, and orange blossom. It is well-defined, agile, delicate, and elegant in the palate, featuring a persistent and well-defined finish.
PAIRING: Grilled fatty fish, such as salmon or mackerel, served with potatoes, roasted vegetables, or salad.
