Languedoc 2018

Hecht & Bannier

The Hecht et Bannier Languedoc is produced with grapes certified organic by Ecocert FR-BIO-01, this wine is 100% matured in concrete tank to preserve its fresh, fruity aromas and flavors on the palate. Grapes are sourced from the village of Saint Chinian, Terrasses du Larzac in Languedoc and Vallée de l’Agly in Roussillon.

“In Southern France, bordering the Mediterranean Sea, extends the most ancient and the largest vineyard of our country: the Languedoc Roussillon.

As our vine-growers take benefit from favorably climatic conditions and remarkable sunshine weather, they have been following for quite a long time the principle of an environmental friendly viticulture.
This is how our region has become a pioneer in developing cautious agriculture and organic viticulture. It offers a vast variety of terroirs that we suggest you discover in this fruit driven wine, matured exclusively in concrete tank, without any use of barrels.
As a result of one year’s winetastings and selection, our Languedoc is blended by the most brilliant fruits of Syrah, from the area of Saint Chinian and the Terraces du Larzac with the tasty Grenache from Roussillon.”

Additional Information

Our Languedoc is the result of our extensive work with our growers and our constant tastings. This lovely wine expresses the ripe Syrah from the Languedoc’s cooler foothills blended with the soft and delicious Grenache from the Roussillon. The South of France is a fascinating jigsaw puzzle of terrors that we hope you will discover in this fruit driven wine, matured very naturally without any barrel aging.

With a beautiful carmine red color, this Languedoc reveals notes of red fruits and then, spicy and peppery shades. It’s a Mediterranean wine but still fresh and thirst-quenching.

"A sleek red, with appealing blackberry and red plum fruit flanked by savory spice and anise details. Underpinnings of dusty earth and garrigue give interest to the plush finish. Syrah, Grenache and Carignan. Drink now through 2022. 30,000 cases made, 2,500 cases imported."
