Sauvignon Blanc Côtes de Gascogne 2018

Domaine Tariquet

Terroir: With concerns about protecting the environment, Domaine Tariquet has been sustainably managing the vineyards for over 20 years. The estate is certified ISO 14001 and HVE (High Environment Value).

Vinification: Domaine Tariquet uses a sustainable method of growing and only uses natural fertilizers. Destemming of the grapes occurs during harvest, mechanically. Grapes are then transported in air-tight tanks to the facility. The grapes go through maceration with skin-contact for 8-12 hours into temperature-controlled pneumatic presses. The freshly pressed juices are matured on fine lees at a low, cool temperature. The wine is kept in cold storage until bottling in tanks at -2°C (28.4°F) to preserve the wines’ freshness. Bottling only occurs upon order to ensure optimal fruitiness and crispness all year long.

"Despite its label, this wine is only partially made of Sauvignon Blanc, with three other grapes making up the rest of the blend. Nonetheless, a definite crisp herbal character gives the wine its shape and freshness. Drink now."
