Sancerre Le Chene Marchand 2014

Domaine Pascal Jolivet

Terroir: Situated 125 miles south of Paris, the Sancerre landscape undulates at an altitude between 650 and 1,300 feet. The Loire River on the Eastern side of the hilly environment creates a relatively temperate microclimate for the wines. Pascal Jolivet’s Sancerre Le Chene Marchand comes from a 2.52 acre parcel planted on one of the most beautiful sites in the appellation of Sancerre, with due south exposure in the village of Bué.

Vinification: The grapes are picked and hand selected, then the juice fermented with wild yeasts in stainless steel tanks.

Additional Information

“A wine with much power yet also smoothness. It develops even further elegant and subtle aromas with time.” -Pascal Jolivet
