Domaine Jacques Prieur - Le Montrachet Grand Cru 2017
Overview
Terroir: Arguably the finest plot of white wine producing grapes on the entire planet. Domaine Jacques Prieur owns a staggering 1.45 acres of total 18 acres of this heavily fragments vineyard. The terroir of Le Montrachet is second to none as it sits high upon the hill overlooking the mere mortals of 1er Cru and village level vineyards below. This is the mecca of white wine.
Vinification: Grapes are hand harvested, strictly sorted and destemmed. The must will sit on the skins for 14 hours prior to fermentation. The wine ages for 22 months of in oak barrels deep in the cellars of Domaine Jacques Prieur.
Additional Details
Luminous green gold with scintillating silver reflections. Refined and complex but still very discrete on the nose. Very consistent and powerful, embracing the palate with its incredible richness. An infinite length on the finish along with a beautiful sapidity.Technical Details
