Additional Details
2016, 26th-28th April: Devastating frost episode! After a very mild winter and a warm spring weather in the second half of April, the bud break was advanced but the frost with high level or humidity at the end of the month destroyed the parcels with the best exposition. After the frost the vine was developing slowly. Acceleration in growth and the maturity of grapes were possible thanks to very warm and dry summer, with ripening that started quickly by mid-August. The harvest started on 20th September and the sanitary condition of the vineyard was perfect.
The overall quality of the wines is not affected by these weather disturbances.
Gold with scintillating green and silver reflections. Smoothness and elegance with slightly toasty and spicy notes. Generous, round and tasty on the palate. Very fine salinity with beautiful tension and acidulous refreshing notes on the finish.

"Well-marked by clove, juniper and lemon flavors, this lean white is carried by vibrant acidity. Loses a little steam on the finish, where spice and Italian aftershave notes remain. Drink now through 2023."

"(from a .27 ha monopole). A discreet application of wood sets off the notes of green apples and lemon zest. The delicious, round and more overtly mineral-inflected medium weight flavors possess an attractively seductive palate impression, all wrapped in a lingering and refined finish of moderate depth and persistence."

"The 2016 Beaune 1er Cru Clos de la Féguine Blanc, one new barrel out of six, offers brioche, green apple and light gravel scents on the nose. The palate is well balanced with a fine line of acidity, a slight honeyed note with a very pure and caressing finish. This becomes more and more appealing the longer you are acquainted with it. Recommended."
