Terroir: Domaine Christian Moreau Père et Fils owns a total of 1.25 acres of the Grand Cru Vaudésir. Vaudésir is located northwest of Les Clos and shares the same hillside terroir.

Additional Information

Creamy and full-bodied, with hints of citrus zest, wet stone, and a touch of vanilla. The acidity here is bright and lively. On the palate, it is fresh and nicely balanced with lemongrass and a round mouthfeel that give way to the traditional mineral backbone found in this varietal. A beautiful mixture of fruit and structure.

"The 2017 Chablis Vaudésir Grand Cru is intensely mineral and savory in style. Dried herbs, licorice, honey, chamomile, and earthy tones dominate, while the fruit is very much in the background. A Chablis of structure and power, Vaudésir has plenty to offer. It is one of the most distinctive and also reticent wines in this lineup. I would give it a few years to soften. The saline finish is very pretty and bodes well for the future."

"Harmony and a supple texture are the hallmarks of this well-integrated white, creating an ideal foil for lemon tart, apple and baking spice flavors. Firms up on the finish, with a hint of stone. Best from 2020 through 2025. 1,250 cases made, 25 cases imported."
