Domaine Christian Moreau Père & Fils - Chablis 2018
The versatile, affordable, village Chablis from Domaine Christian Moreau Père et Fils is bright and crisp, with the classic, taut structure and refreshing minerality that define traditional Chablis. This is a Moreau classic!
Vinification: The winemaking techniques strive to honor the high quality of the terroir, vines and grapes, bringing out the very best in every harvest.
All equipment, from the trailers used to transport the grape harvest to the vats themselves, has been carefully selected so that each parcel of land can be worked separately. All harvesting is done exclusively by hand from the Petit Chablis up to the Grands Crus.

"Chalk, hazelnut, green apple, ripe yellow plum and lemon all make fleeting appearances on this wine's vivid nose. There also is a lovely touch of smokiness. The palate is more rounded with ripeness than the nose suggests but still echoes with flinty smoke. This wine is generous but also fresh."

"The 2018 Chablis is a terrific introduction to the Moreau wines and the house style. Rich and textured, with lovely up-front fruit and a racy, exuberant personality, the 2018 is a joy to taste, even in the early going. Light tropical notes, almond, lemon confit and chamomile are some of the many notes that grace this exquisite, inviting Chablis."
