The Italian genius for transforming the unique qualities of land into pure art, Sistina is inspired by the “cosmatesque” mosaics which appeared for the first time in 1200 A.D., in which small pieces of precious polychrome geometric-shaped marbles are assembled. Of particular workmanship, these are found mostly on church floors across Italy, including Abruzzo. This classic beauty is revealed in Sistina’s wines. Crafted with the utmost care, elegant in taste, and with a balanced sensorial level akin to the same balance found in the timeless architectural beauties found in Italian artistic creations.
Vinification: The must is obtained by a gentle pressing of the grapes and after a short contact with the skins at low temperatures (cold-maceration) it becomes clear. The clear must ferments in dedicated stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature.
Bright rose cherry color. Intense nose, with fruityhints of cherry, strawberry and petunia. Balanced taste, with a harmonic and persistent finish.
Food Pairing: Fish soups, white meat, cold cuts and half seasoned cheeses; it is well paired with pizza and shellfish. Serve cool at 46/60˚ F.
