Château Fuissé - Pouilly-Fuissé Les Brûlés 2019

Overview

Terroir: The Le Brulé vineyard sits directly behind the Château Fuissé and is adjacent to Le Clos. The vineyard is true to it's name (burned) as it's fruit enjoys a full southern exposure to the full days sunlight throughout the growing season. The vineyard is steep and very well drained. Vinification: Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation take place entirely in barrel. The wine is aged for 12 months in new oak in the cellars of Château Fuissé.

Additional Details edit

Yellow golden color, the Les Brûlés shows aromas of ripe fruit, jam, melted sugar, hints of smoke and some delicate vanilla on the nose. On the palate, the attack is fresh and aromatic, round and dense, with a good fatness and a nice volume. Acacia honey, toasted bread some oak and hazelnut delicately smoked towards the finish. A full-bodied wine, rich and powerful. Technical Details

"The 2019 Pouilly-Fuissé Les Brûlés has turned out nicely, offering up aromas of crisp orchard fruit, toasted nuts and vanilla pod. Medium to full-bodied, with a pretty core of fruit, lively acids and a delicately oak-inflected finish, it's already showing well."
