“Liante” is the “wind of the Levant” which gusts throughout the Adriatic region.
Terroir: Negramaro and Malvasia Nera di Lecce are sourced from estate vineyards surrounding the 16th century winery.
Vinification: Grapes are hand-harvested before dawn to avoid exposure to the hot sun. The Negroamaro ripens first; typically in early September, followed by the Malvasia up to two weeks later. The grapes are macerated and fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks follow by 6 months in the cellar where 25% the wine will rest in French oak and the remainder in stainless steel. 50,000 bottles produced.
Warm and embracing, its name recalls the levant wind that blows persistently on our vineyards, acting as a natural anti-mold agent. With its intense aromas, it evokes notes of marasca cherry, prunes, vanilla and cocoa. The result is a Salice Salentino DOC with a harmonious and balanced tradition that continues with its aromas and flavors, offering a pleasant discovery with every sip taken.
