Terroir: Located in the alluvial hills in Delle Venezie, Northeast Italy, at an altitude of about 100 meters (325 feet) above sea level.
Vinification: Hand-harvested grapes are fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel for about one week with twice-daily pumpings over to obtain color, soft tannins, and optimal extraction. The wine undergoes barrique aging, resulting in a touch of vanilla which increases the wine’s complexity without masking the aroma of this variety. 10% of the wine is then aged in French and American oak barrels for 4 months before blending.
Ruby red in color. Bouquet of black fruit, vanilla, and clove, with a hint of spice. The wine is well balanced with a silky pepper and blackcurrant finish.
