"The 2016 Chablis Tête d’Or has a light, slightly waxy bouquet with orange blossom. Light quince scents gradually unfurl in the glass. The palate is well balanced with quite a rounded opening and fine acidity. I would have liked a little more mineralité to come through on the finish. Tasted at the Domaine Direct tasting in London."

Apple, stone and lemon flavors marks this taut, tangy Chablis. Lean, ending with a light grapefruit peel bitterness. Drink now through 2021.

"(from 2 parcels situated in the villages portion of Chapelot). A discreet application of oak sets off the slightly more layered aromas of white peach, algae and lemon peel. The marginally bigger and richer flavors possess a succulent mouth feel while delivering a bit more overall depth and length on the somewhat firmer finish."
