What wines in the Frederick Wildman portfolio are part of the Augmented Reality virtual wine tasting experience?
– The current products that will activate the augmented reality experience are the Santi Ventale wine and the Nino Negri Quadrio wine.

How does the Augmented Reality experience work step by step?
Step 1: Secure a bottle of Santi Ventale or Nino Negri Quadrio.
Step 2: Make sure you have a smartphone compatible with the experience.
Step 3: There are 2 ways to activate the augmented reality experience:
● One, scan the QR code on the necker of the bottle with your smartphone camera which will direct you to the website to view the AR experience.
● Two, go to frederickwildman.com/AR on your smart device.
Step 4: Accept all the “Accept” buttons.
Step 5: Point your camera at the Santi Ventale and/or the Nino Negri Quadrio label. Hold your phone steady to capture the label and make sure you are in a well-lit environment. When the program has captured the label a menu will appear on the bottom of the screen: “Notes & Pairings,” “See,” “Smell” etc.
Step 5: Push the button “Notes & Pairings” to start.
Step 6: If you prefer to skip to different chapters see three lines in the upper righthand corner and select an alternative section.

How do I activate the Augmented Reality experiences?
There are 2 ways to activate the augmented reality experience:
● One, scan the QR code on the necker of the bottle with your smartphone camera which will direct you to the website to view the AR experience.
● Two, go to frederickwildman.com/AR on your smart device.
After entering via necker or website and accepting all the ‘accept” buttons, you need to scan the respective wine label, either Santi Ventale or Nino Negri Quadrio.

What phones or devices can I use?
To view the experience, you will need a smartphone device. On iOS devices, you will need to use the Safari Browser to activate.
Minimum Smartphone devices currently supported are: iphone 7 and Galaxy S7.
Devices should be run on the latest OS and Chrome versions if you are using devices with the minimum requirements.

Why is the experience not activating?
Check the following:
● Refresh the web page to restart activation
● Check to make sure you are in a well-lit room
● Are you scanning a supported bottle: Santi Ventale or the Nino Negri Quadrio wine?

Can I move the bottle after activating the experience?
● Yes, you can. Once you see the slideshow appear, you can move the bottle without losing the AR experience, if you wish. The avatar/speaker and corresponding photos will remain in the same place. So go pour yourself a glass of wine and enjoy!

What if I have disabled my camera permissions?
● When you navigate to the Augmented Reality website, you will be on-boarded to the experience. This onboarding will ask you to accept the motion sensors, camera permissions, and Cookies in order to play the AR experience on your device using the browser.
● In the case that you accidentally do not accept one of the onboarding permissions, you will receive an error message that asks you to refresh the browser page. If you go ahead and refresh your page you will be able to properly accept all the onboarding permissions in order to start the experience.

Why is the experience taking so long to load?
The AR experience may have additional loading times due to internet connection and speed. Refreshing the webpage may help solve prolonged loading times.

What do I do if I have no internet connection?
To play the AR experience you will need to have a stable internet connection on your smartphone device. If you have a slow internet connection you may still watch the experience but you may run into some additional load times to load the experience.

How do I share these experiences with my friends?
You can share this experience by simply sharing the URL (frederickwildman.com/AR) within text messages and social media channels. You can also share by selecting “share” in the drop down hamburger menu or again once you finish all chapters of the virtual tasting.

Will my information be captured and used? What is the privacy policy?

The Augmented Reality experience is web based. What does that mean?
It means you interact and experience an augmented reality experience directly from a web browser. You will not be required to do any downloads. You will simply need internet access on your smartphone and a reliable internet connection.
